Sai Baba of Shirdi (in the Ahmednagar district) or Shirdi Sai Baba (28 September 1838 – 15 October 1918; his real name is Shree Chand Khan (as per what I’ve read couple of times). He is decorated with jewels just like Hindu vedic deities, which is in direct contrast to his teachings of a simple life. Sai devotees revere him as the creator and sustainer of this universe, which also doesn’t have a sound basis in his life and preachings.
